What does Dosha mean?

As part of naturopathic medicine we learn about alternative concepts such as traditional Chinese medicine alongside Ayurvedic medicine. We learn specific techniques to use within clinic.

Ayurveda is the ‘ancient wisdom of life’, a practice that restores body, mind and spirit. According to Ayurveda there are 5 elements that make up the world around us as well as within us : Space, Air, Fire, Water and Earth; they can reflect certain qualities we possess.

These energy patterns are also known as ‘Dosha’s’ which are believed to be present in every cell and tissue in our body. They govern our bodily processes, thoughts, feelings and movement.

To use this ideology effectively, I offer nutritional programmes and pilates classes based on the Doshas and their corresponding energies. Hi I’m Izzy, 

I am the founder of Dosha Health.

This is a space encompassing health and wellness, including nutritional therapy consultations and pilates classes.

Combining intricate studies of naturopathic medicine and a passion for pilates, I have turned this into a career. My goal is to guide those on their journey through nurturing physical and mental wellbeing through nutrition and movement. I’m here to empower you to become your healthiest, strongest most resilient self and be your own cheerleader.


My Inspiration

My inspiration behind choosing to be a wellness practitioner started during my travels to Australia, being surrounded by people and the lifestyle that put health and happiness first. From 6am sunrise wake ups to pilates classes and açai bowls, I made choices that lead to living a sustainable & healthy lifestyle. This energy is something I wanted to bring to my clients and create an environment that facilitated this within my practices.

By personally experiencing changes to my nutrition, sleep, exercise, stress management and lifestyle, this shaped my approach to holistic wellbeing. I work to target root causes instead of symptoms and help you with ways to manage a well balanced lifestyle.

Pilates

Certified Level 3 Mat Pilates + Certified Functional Reformer Pilates instructor.

Qualifications carried with London Pilates Academy. Accredited by CIMSPA and YMCA.
